About the Artwork

The Wood Brothers Racing team entered Dan Gurney in selected NASCAR road course events using the famous No. 121 Ford Galaxie 500, simply adding a leading "1" to their iconic No. 21. The partnership proved extraordinarily successful, with Gurney capturing multiple victories at Riverside International Raceway, including the prestigious 1965 Motor Trend 500.

Known as one of the finest road racers of his era, Gurney routinely defeated NASCAR's top stars on the challenging Riverside circuit. His victories behind the wheel of the Wood Brothers Ford helped establish both driver and team among the greatest competitors in American motorsports history.

Condition

Excellent overall collector condition. The original pencil drawing remains beautifully preserved with outstanding detail and contrast. Created in 2004 and professionally framed. As with many vintage framed works, the frame may exhibit minor cosmetic wear consistent with age. Any such imperfections are limited to the frame and do not affect the original artwork or Dan Gurney signature.
